I was able to shoot a Guardian the other night.
The bow itself id VERY nice looking, with the machining and finish damn near a work of art. All "joints" or connections in regards to thew limbs and riser were VERY solid.
The bow was 29 inch/70 pounds, with a prong rest. I was using a wrist strap release.
Drawing this bow was a chore! I felt every one of it's 70 pounds! Perhaps partly to due with the fact that I am not used to the binary eccentrics, and having shot single cams for so long...I was not prepared??? I doubted being able to draw this bow repeatedly on a course or even once smoothly while in a cold treestand (I am not a small dude. 70 pounds does not scare me)
Once I had it at full draw - it held Ok.....I was nervous about missing the target with a crowd, including the owner of the shop......................... (Halfway between good/bad day)
Then I squeezed the trigger.
At that VERY instant, I knew, without a shadow of a doubt, that I had made the right decision in ordering a Mathews Drenalin.
Even using an IBO Arrow - I was NOT impressed with the "speed". At least not compared to the drenalin - who's speed DID surprise me.
I do not think it was as smooth upon the shot as other bows I have shot.
A second shot with it confirmed my thoughts.
A nice bow no doubt, just not the bow for me. I think it is a solid foundation for "what is to come"................
I think the best part of it is how it drove home my decision to stay with Mathews this year.

Can't wait to try it for sure. And I have to admit, the Drenaline is a VERY good bow. The speed actually surprised me too!!! Nice drawing bow and I can say that the handshock reportsx must be cominng from haters cuz there was NONE!! Looks like you'll be happy with your bow 911! At least til next year!! ;D ;D ;D

Actually.....I have the itch for an Apex too...... Oh yeah...me too.....or a prestige....that bow gets some pretty big short draw length speed #'s . Bold Liquid Gold Baby!!!! Michi, as for the hand shock...I'm not a hater, but I was very surprised at the amount of hand shock, especially after shooting it right after an XT. I think between the lightness, and it being a bare bow it made it seem worse. I'm sure it is going to be better with limb savers, a stabalizer, and a MeanV CSS on it,

John- You know the bandwagoneers I'm referring to. Way top many of them on some of the bigger boards.

GOLD no doubt! BLING BLING!!!!!
I have the MeanV2 CSS for my Drennie, I'll call her "Drenifer"........ The camo is awesome on it - but I am REALLY thinking about sticking with the STS - it just seems stouter.

I just figured I would try one. Cleaner looking, and less bulky, plus matching camo.
