I have had a package of firenocks for 4 years!!I pulled them out to see if the battery's were still good. The package says one year so I was not surprised when it did not light. They also give you two practice nocks that have the same wt.After playing around I found the shots I was taking at 20 yds was much better .I put my old nock on my powder scale and it was 20.4 gr.I found the practice nock was 50.0 gr!!!Now my question is what's going on and can I buy heaver nocks?

Thats odd. Dorge is so particular when it comes to this stuff. Not sure I have an answer for you on this one. Maybe give Dorge a call over at firenock and see what he says.

IIRC the batteries only have a 1 year shelf life. You can buy replacements from Firenock. Jorge also has another battery available that has a 3 year shelf life but isn't as bright.
I am down to 1 Firenock with a dead battery and I am debating what to use this season.

I found the practice nock was 50.0 gr!!!Now my question is what's going on and can I buy heaver nocks? I am not sure how any practice Firenock can be 50 grains. the metal plate is the same weight as the battery and the circuit board, plus the end cap. So as Firenock are only 30 grains in the heaviest style, nock + battery + Circuit + end cap. I do not know G5 make some practice weight that is 50 grains as their nocks are 48 grains. Are you sure they are Firenock?
