So just wondering since I have been out of things for awhile, whats the hot thing now that I can get in a 31" draw? Got a Switchback LD from 6 or so years ago and it still shoots like a dream (see newbie/intro post). Been out of it for way too long and missed it and was wondering whats the new HUNTING bow thats quiet, fast and affordable. I know the affordable part is relative but trying to catch up after being out of things for awhile. Also whats the hot broadhead now-days? Looks like the new Rage and NAP offerings didnt get too good reviews. Look forward to responses and being a part of the community again.
P.S. The break was not law enforcement or govt related. ;D

Elite Pure is something to look at that wont break the bank... so to speak Specifications Axle-Axle - 36" +/- .125" Brace - 7" +/- .125" Weight - 4.1 lbs Peak Weights - 50, 60*, 65, 70, 80 lbs _____________ I thought the new NAP Killzone was a great broadhead for the size but I dont care for heads that large. There are so many great heads, I dont care much about whats the newest and greatest. I will be testing the Shuttle T Lock black Ops next and this is a head that I really hope will pass. I was a big fan of the T lock (for flight) and just wanted a better blade. Maybe this will be the one for both of us

There are lots of great choices that will draw to 31". Try having a 33.5" DL and find bows. You will tend to see more cam lean in the binaries with longer DLs if that bothers you. New Breed Eclipse is a binary that has minimum lean and shoots like a dream I have one and liked it better then the Pure, but it is an individual thing. I also have a PSE Freak that is really a nice shooter as well. Anyway lots of good choices out there in that DL.

The Bowtech Experience will go to 31 inches but is a little bit expensive. It is however a nice shooter and somewhat quiet. But longbow42 said it the best. Its best to find somewhere were you can shoot the bow to get a feel for it. Also need to consider how much help you are going to need in setting it up. Honestly though if your Switchback still fits you and you are comfortable with it that's really all that matters. With a long draw length you should not be hurting for speed or KE.
As far a broadheads once again that's up to your tastes. Rage broadheads will do the job but if I had a choice I would chose the NAP Killzone over the Rage. In my opinion the blades are just of better quality. Then again what ever you are hunting would also dictate what head you might want to use. Either way this forum has plenty of good info for ya. Welcome to the community.
