He's 59 years old, 45 years experience. Not a "professional" guide, but he calls turkey for a LOT of people....and LOVES it. He has killed over 200 turkeys during his lifetime...started calling when he was about 11 years old. He hunts PA, MD, VA, WV. IL and other places. He and his wife are both in to Archery as well as ML and Rifle.

Headed out about 5:00 AM tomorrow morning in Pennsylvania for some "Shotgun Gobbler Action". My nephew, his wife and two other "turkey nuts" went out yesterday morning, had 18 distinctly different gobblers "talking" but had to leave too soon because of work, then went out in the evening and called in FOUR gobblers....got two of them. Three of us are going out in the morning.....hopefully with good success. Going tomorrow with the shotgun because of the area. Got a gobbler with the shotgun earlier in the year...shot him with a 12 ga. 3" magnum, #4 at about 45-50 yards! Tomorrows area may have the "need" for some possible long shots!!

Man...so windy here today and very chilly! We had 5 gobblers answering at daylight, but would not come in. Went to another spot later, called 2 big ones in. My Son-in-law got a shot at one . He was using a 10 ga. with #6 shot...and the shot was a little too far IMO. Knocked a wing feather out but didn't hurt him that we could tell. Going back on Monday for another round. Gave up today because of the wind...probably 30-35 MPH with 40 MPH gusts. Felt like late fall almost!
