Geauga Bowmen shoot - 5/13

Had one heck of a time with photobucket and finally ended up going to a totally different storage site. SlickPic is as good as photobucket (so far) if anyone else has any issues with photobucket.

It was a pretty good day yesterday on the course and I wish I would have known about this place a long time ago
$100. a year for couples and no work hours
80 acres to hunt along with adjoining properties

Oh well.... Had a great time and got a few pictures to share

They had that running deer set up great!. They used a cable and rollers for the deer but they added something I have never seen which made it really easy to use without having to have a club member there to run it.

They attached a rope to the rear of the deer and ran that rope back to a pulley where the cable for the deer was attached. They then ran that rope back to the shooting area about 25 yards away. In this way, the shooter could simply pull the rope to bring the deer back to the tree and then you just stood on the rope until you were ready to shoot. Lift your foot and away it went. It was really a great idea and we will do tis at our place once we get moved.
