Well it was a weak turnout but a great time for us. This was Doegirls first traditional only shoot and she did really well.
Met the owner of Wagner archery at his tent as well as a few local folks who were attending as shooters for the weekend.
I REALLY like southern ohio and the people that I have met so far seem to have a handle on how to live it up down there
We (the locals and I) also share a distinct displeasure of the Amish it seems. ;D
The Amish really have gone above and beyond when it comes to the wholesale slaughter of wildlife wherever they are present and southern ohio is just another area where they are at it, so say the folks I talked too.
We camped at scioto trails park which is a great looking place with two large ponds for fishing and thousands of acres of hardwoods for hunting. Saw turkey, deer and squirrles in numbers greater than that of northeast ohio, I will say that much.
Anyway, back to the shoot.
All the targets were set at actual hunting ranges which gave you a real good idea just how able you would be if you actually were hunting and I appreciated that
Here are some of the few pictures I was able to snap before the camera battery gave up the ghost
The lower club house kitchen where you enter the property
Upper level shooting range
upper area registration
Nice follow through!
She was staying right with me like this pretty much all through the first day while using her PSE recurve
The shots were many times just like it looks here, with shooting done through the weeds and not down the walking path.
Thats about it... Just a few pic's to show what was going on.
