There will be more to follow but this is something I wanted to post. I purchased a BradBow Stopping Point bow sight and was seriously disappointed. I read the online reviews and was excited about getting the sight. It is a pendulum sight that also can be used as an adjustable sight.
The packaging was very presentable and professional. One thing I did notice was on the back the there was a the dreaded words that said made in China. Immediately I thought oh boy.
After removing the sight I inspected it and noticed that the pedulum was sticking and very rough. I was not expecting to use it as a pendulum but at $130 bucks I would expect it to work out of the box.
The DOT. Another issue I had was with the green dot. The dot was somewhat dark and does not stand out very well when placed on a dark background. One comment there is that I am color blind and for people who are not they might not have this issue. Anothe note is that they make the dot in orange as well. I have not seen the orange dot but it may resolve the problem of me being able to see the dot. Additionally the packages indicates that the dot illuminates once it is exposed to a light source. I left it exposed to direct sunlight and several flash lights and did not notice any hint of illumination. Maybe I am doing something wrong but I really dont think the illumination works as advertised.
Next to the slide. The slide operates very roughly and the tension adjustment in my opinion does not work very well.
Once again I will say these is only my opinion but all in all I dont thnk this product is worth the selling price. The concept is great but the product itself is slapped together mass fashion with little quality assurance. On a scale of 1 to 10 I will give this sight a 2 and would not recommend it to friend or family.
In all fairness I will also say that I have not contacted the vendor yet. I intend to do that this week if I have time and see what if anything can be done. I wil update this post once I have done so.
If others have used this sight and like let me know. I could have just gotten a lemon.
I'll also post pictures soon.
