After reading several posts about hunting seasons in different states, I am curious as the the bag limits of the various states represented on this forum.
Where I live in Tennessee(Unit L), we have a very generous limit. We are allowed three bucks per season(one per day) and three doe a day per season. Some draw hunts, like the preseason hunt I do every year, are bonus deer. So that means I can take four bucks a year. Including my draw hunts, I have 105 days to hunt with a total possible harvest of 320 deer. I can also take four bearded turkeys in the spring(one per day), one bearded turkey during "archery only" season and six turkey's, either sex, during the fall season in Dec. (These can be taken in one day)
The buck limit is statewide but the doe limit varies between the three units. Unit A has a four doe limit per season plus county quota hunts. Unit B has a two doe limit during archery season plus county quota hunts for rifle and muzzleloader. Quota harvests vary and the number of counties you can draw varies.
Some of you have talked about your bag limits in various posts so I was just curious about the various state and unit limits where y'all are at.

Not quite that liberal in Missouri. We start in the spring with the Spring Shotgun Turkey season. It's 3 weeks long and you can take 2 bearded birds. But not the first week. The first week you can take only 1 bird. Then 1 more either of the 2 remaining weeks. If you ain't lucky enough to get a bird the first week you can take 2 birds the second week but not in the same day. Kind of confusing. And in Missouri you can only turkey hunt till 1:00 pm. Then in the fall starting September 15th bow season opens. When you purchase you bow tag you get 2 deer tags and 2 turkey tags. The turkey tags are good for either sex bird. The two deer tags are good for either sex deer, but you can only take 1 antlered deer before gun season, and 1 antlered deer after gun season. But you can buy as many antler-less permits as you like. The Archery season runs from September 15th and closes during the 2 week gun season, then opens until January 15th. I don't know, Missouri seems like they have a lot of regulations? But we do have lots of deer and turkeys, so I guess they know what they are doing?

That doesn't sound too bad really. I don't understand the 1 pm turkey day but it sounds like it works. The only thing like that we have is opening day of dove starts at noon. Other than that, our day is from 30 mins. before sunrise to 30 mins. after sunset.

I believe that 5 is the true limit on ny...but then there is the fact that you can exchange/transfer tags ..... which makes the limit endless if you know enough people Westchester is truly limitless....based on the fact that all you have to do is keep buying tags.

We have different zones here in Virginia, with different seasons and bag limits. Main areas are East and West of the Blue Ridge. I'm in the zone WEST of the blue ridge and in this area, and my county, we have 5 tags on the regular big game license...(2 bucks and 3 does) then there are bonus tags (DOES ONLY)available for $18. Up until this year, a bonus tag was for 2 extra does and this year it increased to SIX does. With that, a purchase of the regular license and ONE bonus tag, the limit is a total of NINE DOES and TWO BUCKS. There is NO LIMIT on the number of bonus tags you can purchase for $18 each. Tomorrow (OCT 3) is the regular early season archery opener in MY area...and it opens for DEER, BEAR and TURKEY. We have a VERY generous bag limit but the limit for deer is ONE per day. I think EAST of the Blue Ridge, it's TWO per day!

I think the reasoning behind the 1:00 deal is to not disturb the hens on the nests? It must work, Missouri has a ton of turkeys while Arkansas just canceled their fall season due to the low number of birds.
