I used some of Mr. Savage's products in the past. He made good solid equipment. Nothin' flashy like you see some of today's companies pumping out, just stuff that worked. They also made a couple of my favorite rests: The Derringer and the Jewel. My Black Jewel Hunter Rest is still probably the most accurate rest I own (even as a prong rest) and it is almost infinitely adjustable. I remember one of my first "high tech" sights was one of their Eagle Eye sights that contained a tritium pin!

It is a damn shame another one is gone...

If anyone is interested, they say everything is 50% off...that is a steal with some of these things like the aforementioned Jewel rests.

This really sucks. I have bought several things from them in the past. Every over-draw bar I have ever had, came from Savage. I get a good check this week, so I'm gonna try to pick a few things up. Thanks for the info, snood.

Why would they, then they would be for the hunters and they wouldn't want to offend there friends the antis' would they .
