What is up with the Black bow trend that is emerging? Didn't all bows come stock in target colors..Red, Black, Blue..etc. before the "Stock" camo rage? Now, companies want 100-200 dollars more for a BLACK FINISH. I'm torn...I can't figure out if I have succumbed to a trend, or if I really like it better. Any thoughts.

I like them and they will work great in a blind!

I almost got my ALPHAMAX in black for blind hunting. When the bow shop got one in that fit my DL and DW, I didn't like the fact that the bow was black with camo limbs. To me it didn't look right, a personal opinion. Now if the limbs was black and matched the bow I may have purchased it.

If I wanted black rather than pay 200 bucks for a black finish I would spend 4 bucks on a can of spray paint.

Hey Spiker....I don't know about other companies, but I paid less for my Elite Fire because it was black...the camo version was more expensive. I love the looks of the black finish, but no, I would not have paid a premium for it. That is just an example of a company taking advantage of a trend.

And your bow is the one I think about when I think how great a black bow can look with the right accessories. You have to see the thread on AT where this kid "Sharpied" his bow black. If anything it was a hilarious thread, and the bow didn't look half bad.

Greg and Buckshot nailed it. Hunting outta blinds. Everything should blend into the shadows. But black should be cheaper as it cost less to powder coat than dip in most cases. But I guess it depends on what you want and how bad you want it.
