Just give me an idea here. Of our regular members....(who have not shot a recurve - ever) How many would like to learn to shoot a stick and would hunt with one if they knew how , just for the added challenge ? How many fall into this category?

Count me in for next year. Wife's ready to kill me as it is, with all the money I spend on my compounds. But , I see recurve as the next step, even though that's how I started, on my dad's bear! Oops, didn't see the stipulation there, but it's not like I knew what I was doing!

The stick bow will keep alot of money in the bank! I shot for over a year with a total loss of three arrows and one broken flipper rest and one string. Ran me about $36. with shipping

I am looking to do a step by step on the board to get those (who want to) , up and shooting. With the aid of a DVD to start & picture posts afterwards ,this should be a very easy process. I believe that by shooting my style , I could get anyone shooting well in a few days if they did their part. I am also thinking of setting up a recurve, including arrows & glove and sending it to whoever wants to learn. After that person has got it down and can shoot , they could ship it to the next person in line. It would save anyone alot of mistakes as to equipment selection and would save the price tag of a bow. As long as the bow gets back home someday I'm happy

Let me say that Bt has avery easy to learn style. I had kinda hit a wall where i was doing OK but not where I want to be. he gave me a few tips yesterday and as long as remember to do as he said, I can smack arrows together at 20yds.........I just need to work on doing it the way he said everytime.... By next season I'll be giving him a run for his money

Well....I do cover this in the judgment call DVD but I was planning on doing a traditional only DVD which could be sent out with the bow,ect.. Not for sale mind you....just as an aid and a more in depth look at shooting three under and point of aim. The board for tips may expand well beyond just this topic. We will see
