Thats only because you have never been to a range that I have shot at. They put them there for me. Or people like me. you know, line it, up get ready .................................release, drop bow, :-[where did it go, where did go, I gotta see it before it gets there. ;D ;D ;D

We put the bales there to protect the snakes that chase the little furry critters around the target... And because you'd have to kiss every arrow goodby before you shot it out there - you miss and that arrow is gone! I know, I have several in storage out there myself!!!

Never seen the targets backed with hay before. Probably never seen people shoot those distances before either Looks kind rough terrian....If I were launching 80yrds. I think I might want something to slow down the misses

I don't know about shooting in my yard but I don't think mine is safe for it or has the backstops for it. I just feel that AR bow is way too fast and a small mistake it goes a long way out!

No bow is safe if you arent set up for it.
Do you have the area to set up a back stop and such?

My little range is set at 10 yrads, 20 yards, 30 yards, and 40 yards I like the Yellow Jacket BH Target and the Black Hole
