This is my first post so hope picture shows up. After 25 years of shooting moose with a rifle decided to try bow hunting this year. I am definitely hooked. Had more fun hunting than I have had for years. Shot from 20 yards with 125 gr Slicktrick. Angle that he was standing was misjudged so shot was a little far back though diaphragm and liver. Broad head was just under the skin on offside. He went about Fifty yards and laid down final shot was with a 100 gr. stinger buzzcut from 15 yards same entry point but from better angle through the lungs. It was a complete pass through except for the fletching. Neither broad head hit any bone other that ribs. The reason for using the stinger was that I was carrying it in my quiver in case that I got a chance to shoot at a wolf. Had one at 70 yards the first day but that was farther than I was comfortable with. Anyway I just got an arrow out for the second shot and did not notice that it was the stinger until I got ready to shoot.

Congrats, thats awesome. Tell us the details, did you call him? stalk him? Welcome to the world of bowhunting. The pic came out a bit blurry, but I get the idea. Maybe try using Photobucket. Either way nice job.

I am not to sure that I a doing this right. But here is a attempt at photobucket. I was stillhunting. My moose hunting for years has been a couple of days of hunting before killing one. With the bow I was able to spend 15 days chasing them. Had several chances at some bigger bulls some at ten to fifteen yards but never could get a clear shot as it is pretty bushy where I hunt at. The bow is a Hoyt Powertec that I really like. URL=http://i105.photobucket.com/albums/m231/akdd2004/Moose2006014.jpg] [/URL]
