ok guys, ALberta moose are to smart. yesterday was out and about, found a big moose. Stalked him without calling from about 120 yards, down to 50. brush was to thick for a shot, kept stalking and got to 32 yards. drew the bow....... and as i squeezed the trigger, he must have been bitten by something............... cuz he whipped his head down and titled his head rearward so fast, he caught my Montec Broadhead 100 grain with the palm of his antler Dang thing stuck in there slightly, and as he was running, it fell off after about 10 feet. No damage to the broadhead, but damage to my spirits. He was a big one, would have been the biggest for my moose hunting career :Pat least i know he's in there, and i will be back again. he must be pushing 55 inches, not big to some but big enough for me

Get on him! Stay positive and I'd wager money on you having to find a doorway big enough to get him in your house! $#!t happens but it can't happen all the time, not with how your shooting that Trykon.

the taxidermist i use can actually make a 2 piece mount for elk and moose, so you can get the whole thing in doors. www.artistic-taxidermy.com/ <--- is his link im still waiting for my 2005 whitetail,. but from what i hear, its worth the wait. 12-14 month minimum right now, he is Uber busy.
