Just found this site and am looking forward to exchange information and stories. I am a hunter/fisherman from New Hampshire and am excited about the upcoming season that starts in 2 weeks. I am just now running out the door to head upcountry and move a stand and tune up a couple others. Stay tuned Aloft52 www.aloft52.wordpress.com

Welcome to the nut house. Ask questions, give ideas and opinions but remember no name calling. Well a little bit of name calling but only in fun.
Enjoy this great site.

To echo the others, welcome to the site! What do you shoot and what is your favorite hunt? Thanks all for your welcome. There are some interesting topics here, I've just got to write a funny story in the marriage/hunting thread. I shoot a Hoyt Vtec, my upgrade from my PSE Diamondback. I would like to try one of the new Bowtec line, they seem a little more forgiving than the rocket launcher I use now, although many have told me that my Hoyt is deadly quiet. I will look at the General next year(I hope ) There is a funny joke about what we hunt here in New England but I won't go into it here on a family board. I am a member of an elite race here in Cow Hampshire, we call ourselves hillbillies, and we are hunters of deer, ones with white tails that run and not bounce. Is the hunting good here? I think it is, archery season runs from September 15 through December 15 and It never seems to be a problem filling deer tags. We don't see hundreds of 150 class bucks as seen on the likes of Saturday morning TV, but every once in awhile a nice one will walk by, and the does here have the longest eyelashes you will ever see. I love to hunt here because it requires hard work to archive success and you never know what may step out in front of your tree stand at any given moment. I love good 'ole homegrown deer. Aside from deer we have moose, turkey, partridge, waterfowl, rabbit, gray squirrel, and an occasional agent from the IRS. In the off season from hunting I am a member of the Granite State Bow Hunters and attend the 3-D shoots every Sunday. I have commercially and recreationaly fished the past 25 years. I plan to retire a recluse somewhere in the Forrest. aloft52 www.aloft52.wordpress.comwww.granitestatebowhunters.net/
