Have had rain for 3 days but figured I would give it
a try this morning. Not much going on till 8:15.Had a
nice doe come in on my left out of nowhere.Very on
edge. She walked by then turned and I drew the bow
and waited till she had her left leg forward.I let it fly
and was surprised to see the arrow only in 2/3 but
a good shot
.She went down and never got back
on her feet. The shot was at about 18 yds.She rolled
and broke the arrow that came out but left the wasp
bullet (75gr) and 21/2 in. of shaft in her.The arrow
went in just above center 3/4 of the way back in the
rib cage and we didn't find the wasp till we took the
shoulder blades off.It seems to have destroyed one
lung and made it through the scapula with the point
just under the hide on the other side.
75 gr. wasp bullet just coming through scap.
I think the wasp held up great
,the point is like new and the
bleeders held up ok.the one that made the most contact with
the scap was wavy but the others had minor damage. All need
to be replaced but will keep as souvenir.
I have had to crank the mustang down 1 and a half turns
so I don't fall out of the stand trying to draw it ;D.It was at
54lbs. but I think 49-50? now.It dosen't realy matter the
LITTLE MUSTAGG THAT COULD--DID!!!!
