Try compressing strips of cardboard with tie down straps. Gonna be a lot of cardboard, may want to hit up an appliance/tv store if you decide to try this one.
I have got lucky here as we have a Cabela's and I have got a couple Morrel broadhead targets for less than $20 each in the Bargain Cave. Someone bought them, shot them a few times and took em back. So what if they have holes, I plan on putting a lot more in them and saved over $25 to boot.

Don't know for sure as I've not tried this personally, but I was told or read somewhere that a burlap bag filled with plastic shopping bags works good. Just fill it up good with wadded up plastic bags and shoot it. My guess is that it takes an incredible number of plastic bags to accomplish the task!

It will work smj - I've done it. It is easier to go to the lumber yard and get some lumber wrap. About 5 wraps will fill the average coffee bean sack (Or get some $15 burlap sacks with elk/bear/deer/small game on them). Make sure you wad the plastic in - don't layer it. The layer's melt to the shaft and lock down so hard you wouldn't believe it.

Yea but if you are shooting broadheads into the burlap it won't last very long. The plastic in the gunny sack works great for FP's, hit up body shops as they get a lot of it wrapped on their new parts.
