;D Hahhh......Then you could blame the bad shots on "butter fingers" Can you use spray PAM ? The cooking oil stuff Or would that hurt the arrows ?

Pam would be good I would think. WD40 is a fish oil base and I wonder if that wouldn't work well on target arrows. It even comes in a mini bottle that would fit comfortably in the pocket.
I was surprised to learn that Bass fishermen have been using WD40 as an attractant for years. I never knew that?!

I picked up one of those rubber arrow pullers. They help me to get a better grip. Ditto for me...I think they help. Double ditto! And SMJ is right also....sometimes I have to lay it on the ground put a foot on the deer, and pull with two hands. The bigger fp will get you in trouble with one of those leg joint shots that I'm famous for. It gets stuck in that plastic "cup" and you can only hope that the insert glue will give so you don't have to carve the target up, or break the arrow..

I know I use ivory soap shavings around our garden and it keeps everything out.

I use the Ivory soap for target practice, 3-d, and spots. When season rolls around and I am ready to head to the woods, I take a Dead Down Wind field wipe and wipe ALL of my equipment down.

This is why I don't put leather wraps on the grips of the longbows I make, and use a plastic arm guard for hunting. I like finger tabs - but get a newer one come hunting season and spray it till well coated, or just shoot with my regular gloves - all washed and un-stunk!
