I played with fiberglass recurves as a kid in Wy, made a couple bows from willows with baling twine for a string. Then in high school made a fiberglass, wood, laminate bow in shop class and actually got pretty good with it. Used to walk the ditchbanks in the winter and shoot rabbits, also got one coyote with it. Then didn't touch archery equipment for about 20 years what with bing in USMC, then being able to afford new guns and the like. Then in 2003 got half serious about archery again after sitting water and having a 180+ buck walk up within 40 yds, and me with a recurve I wouldn't shoot past 25. But it gave me the shakes like I hadn't had in years. So now my guns sit in the safe and I shoot my bow.
