I like to make several kinds. One I will get a cardboard box and fill it with more squares of cardboard cut out of other boxes. I fit them into the box and make sure they are really tightly packed. This works great for field tip arrows and for heavy poundage. Just make sure it is at least 10 " or more in depth. I also like to get styrofoam containers, and the ones I like to use are ones that are shipped to people with some type of forzen product in them. They are perfect squares. Then I go to Wal-Mart and get plastic bags that people bring back and place in a box at the entrance of the store. I take several and stuff them inside the sytrofoam box and they fit really super. Just keep packing them as tight as possible. Next, take duct tape and while holding the top to the bottom, tape them shut. Use several layers on different places of the box. Then you can put what ever type of target on them that you want. It can also be used for pellet and BB guns. I use mind for small targets and it works like the Block but cheaper. Also on my 3D animal targets that get blasted several times, I use the spray foam that comes in cans for spray insulation. That works great at refilling the gaps and holes made by arrows. Then I wrapped the area in duct tape and let dry a day or so. Then right back to shooting. Sometimes I wrap a badly shot up target with duct tape first and then make a pencil hole at several areas and then fill with foam. Good luck with your targets.
