I'm gonna say in the 7-9-6-8 square. He is in mid step it looks like in that pic. I want him stopped before I send one his way.

I am gonna go way back on this one. The deer is alert and ready for take off. IMO, he is alerted forward and the next warning is going to be the shot to his left....leaving only the right for escape. He is ready to take off IMO  It (in my experience) will go to it's right... not straight. If it doesn't move....I'll take the liver and one lung. If he turns to his right, I'll take both lungs  If he turns to his left....I'll be back in 10 hours...maybe eight. |

I like the 6 for shot placement IMO.
He is ridged ,alert and ready to flee at any sound.
If he doesn't move you should have a clean pass through but like
BT sugested more than likly he would turn to his right away
from the sound of the shot and if he would jump the string your
chances of a fast recovery is much better jimo.
