Ohio 11 pt and tagged out

Dec. 1 was our opening day of gun season. Most of my family doesn't bow hunt so this is a good time to go hunting with my dad and be able to hunt with the rest of the family. The day was windy and the temp was around 38 deg high. We had snow showers all day and wind gust up to 20+ mph. I didn't see anything all morning and the day looked as if the deer would not be moving. At 3:00 pm I moved from my location to a spot about 1000 yrds away in a different location hopping to catch some movement. At 4:00 pm it all paid off when this guy came in like he owned the woods and nothing was going to stop him. I shot him at 65 yrds with my Remington Wingmaster and he dropped in his tracks. This has been the theme this year for me every deer I shot with my bow or gun dropped in their tracks . I wish I could do that every year. Well thats four deer for me, three with my bow and one with my shotgun I'm all tagged out and can't wait for next year .

Great buck I killed a smaller buck that is almost identical to him split brow tines and all. Did he come from an area close to the river in Hamilton county.

My wife has relatives in Pike county, and I've been thinking of getting down there for some whitetail hunting..all the pics I've seen from down there have been amazing..great job..

I harvested him in Russellville, Ohio in Brown county. Russellville is about 12 miles from the river and two counties over. One thing I forgot to mention was a hunter in our party saw this buck with another smaller buck fighting in the morning with about 12 turkeys feeding around them. He said he belly crawled to within 100 yards and then the fight was over with this buck winning and chasing the other buck out of the area. He seen them around 8:00 am and I harvested him at 4:00 pm.
