Set myself up on a nice intersecting trail this evening. Saw a group of 5 hogs and was tempted to take one out. This spike came through about 10 minutes later. 28 yards, slightly quartering away, double lung...lights out.  Gear: Mathews Switchback, 68 lbs. Nice going there Red! Sounds like you're having a good season. That smile says it all!
Have you used that same head and blades on more animals or just that deer? After reading the other Nightmare thread, I'm just curious. I've never had a head I'd dare try that with without replacing the blades or touching them up somehow.

Thanks, BT...only wish you would have had a chance to hunt today as well.  BTW: God is good...prayed for a bountiful harvest and a quick recovery. Was blessed with both. |

Thanks, Hopesman...I know a lot of folks favor the heart shot. In all honesty, I have much better luck and much quicker recoveries on a higher double lung shot. |
