Ok, I guess im jumping the the Nightmare bandwagon as these are the kind of nightmares one would want to have. This is my second deer taken in the last week with these heads and I must say im VERY impressed. This buck here I took last night as he walked a cut cornfield by my stand. He was walking fast and I tried to stop him but he didnt hear me. As I followed on the release I stopped moving and this caused me to hit a tad back farther than I wanted. He only went 150 yards before piling up. Also Im sorry I wasnt able to get any blood trail, or gutting pictures. This buck headed straight across the cut corn down the hedge row and jumped the fence into Conservation land. On top of that it started snowing on and off real hard about a 1/2 hour after I shot him. Here in Illinois you can not cross fences without permission. I had to call the local Conservation Police and they where out there in less than 30 minutes. Very friendly, polite, and helped me track the deer onto their land where he only made it 30 yards across the fence. With everything happening I didnt think of getting any blood trail, of gutting pictures. I had this buck at full draw on Friday night but passed due to some CRP grass and small twigs on his vitals. There also was a much bigger buck in the corn a hour before this guy walked by me. Wil see if I can get the bigger boy a nightmare I can remember.
I will say that the Nightmares will be a permanent fixture on the end of my arrows.......
