They did a real good job of tracking both animals. The Waterbuck was tracked for almost a 1000 meters..on one drop of blood {I think he's still alive. 10" of penetration on a high shoulder shot {not high for our game but there, everything is low and forward}. The Blue Wildebeest was the same and he stayed with the herd. We tried to shoot him with a rifle but we couldn't be sure if it was him because he never should us his right shoulder {the one I shot}. The Wildebeest was a better shot, right in the shoulder crease angling forward...would have smoked anything on this Continent, just high for African game

Nice Warthog shot on the 11th hour. Hard quartering away. Jumped the string @ 30+ yds and I took him in the spine with a Montec.

So.... what about the return trip? Who was the outfitter? and how did the group as a whole do?. www.mabulaprosafaris.co.za/Christo runs a great camp and has lot's of trophy animals. The pics of the lodge are from his Bowhunting only concession/ no gun hunts near this area so that the game stays nice and calm. My buds Dennis and Dino shot the hell out of the game and both had 7 or 8 kills .300 win mag rules ;D It wasn't the best time of yr. to go with the bow because there was still lots of water around and not much need to go to the watering holes. But stalking worked well and it broke up the day Christo said, had I come in Sept/Oct. I'd be tagged out before the gun hunters ...no regrets thou, I went to have fun and enjoy myself not just to collect game..and I did just fine
