I just got word from the Bison hunter. He has his bull. He got penetration on both sides bit the arrow did not completely pass through and exit the far side. He got both lungs and the heart and the beast broke his arrow in 3 pieces. Live weight 2,4000 pounds, Hanging weight (without head, hide, hoofs or guts) 1,109 pounds. Total boneless meat is 717 pounds. It scored in the SCI top 20. I hope to have pictures soon. the guy's partner got his bull with a restored Sharps rifle and put 6 shots in the boiler room before his bison went down. I'd be very proud with the work you put into the project  I would have been proud to have been hunting with your set up having had so much good information built into each shaft  Look forward to seeing the pics  |

I was really wanting a complete pass thru. He said there were equal amounts of shaft sticking out of each side of the buff. He said it just stood there and then turned as if it was going to come after him so he got a good look at the arrow. I'm guessing the movement of the shoulders broke the shaft.

Nice!! I can't wait to see the pic! As for the pass through you never know what happened. Could have hit a rib that deflected the arrow slightly but the fact is that she did her job. :-) You should be proud.

Now thats what I'm talking about... Big Bull Down!!! I'd love to do that but thats a lot of meat to move around once its all said and done. Thanks for sharing the pictures. Great job on the arrows too. What kind of bow is that Jennings?
