Hey Spike, want me to tell ya which head I would use? ;D ;D What head is that? If i do a baited bear hunt I want to use the 750grain finished arrows with the 175grain spitfire! 235fps is plenty fast at 20yds!

The most important thing with a bear IMO is blood and that hide will soak it up plenty fast. Secondly is a head that can withstand heavy bone since your shooting up tight against the shoulder. Sound simple but the combination isn't as easy to come up with (as it pertains to perfection) as it might seem. Although bear are not super tough (as it pertains to the bone structure) they aren't a light weight deer either As Momentum increases along with bone density , so the need for the head to take the added stress of the combined work load. 750gr. X 235fps + Spitfire = new test

I actually have two heads I would recommend. The first is obviously a 100 gr Montec. The other would be a 200 gr X - Bullet from Barnes. Preferably in a .300 Win Mag!! ;D ;D

I'll get some heads and some oak board and see how the head hold up! I did that in the '06 shootout with the 100gr. spitfires and lost 2/3rds of one blade if I remember correctly
