If your gonna be out after the bruins this spring post it here cause I am interested. I saw today that the #2 animal for hunting in America is the black bear. Certainly if that is true then we must have some guys here that are among those numbered.  |

Missed the bleeping deadline for the controlled hunt this year. I was in Montana chasing Bison and forgot about it. Waited for the leftover tags(can be bought over the counter) but they sold out in the first 5min they were avalible. No spring bear hunt for me this year. Oh well, that just gives me more time to chase Turkey. I will be ready for the late season(Aug 1 -Dec 31) Good luck on your hunt. We want pics.

Thats too bad.
You have the fall hunt though right?.
Are there still draws for that as well?

No it is an over the counter tag for fall season $11.50. The spring hunt is a controlled hunt as they only issue a certain ammount of tags. You are almost guarnteed a tag if you apply, then the left over tags are first come first serve. You can in reality get two in spring and one in fall if you play your cards right.

I'll be out to some degree, as too haow much time and effort I'll be able to put inot it this spring, I,m not sure yet.
