Why not defrost a pack of meat and drain off the blood?. Throw that down before dusk and let it attract your yote They seem to do pretty well with that around your place

What coyote calls are you guys using? Although I would like to try an electronic call, I don't think that I want to spend a couple of hundred bucks. How about mouth callers, any good suggestions?

I have an electronc caller. It's a Dennis Kirk Game master. I like it, but if I did it over I would have gone with a Johnny Stewart caller. My buddy has one and it's louder. I mainly got it for hunting crows amd you can never be too loud with them. I have a single reed mouth call and I can get it to sound like the tape, but I have never used it in the woods.

It looks like the Johnny Stewart call may be a bargain as well. I just checked a couple of catalog sites, and it seems to sell for about $100.

Why not get a mouth call .... dying rabbit maybe?! Alot less expensive and no set up prep required Are the electronics really that good?

well, last week Ray and I were shooting in my yard and saw some coyote tracks around my targets. I have a cow skull in my yard that I am supposed to boil out, if I find a pot big enough. the skull was moved, we figured it was a 'yote. sure enough, tuesday night, around 3am, my father flipped on the outdoor light and saw a big yote trot through my yard. I may not have to go so far to hunt them after all. we'll see.

I woke up 2 hours ago to coyotes running through my yard. That's why I am here now!

No bows, but I went out last night and tried to spot light up some hogs. But there were none to be found in the area that we went. No signs of them either. They must have been pressured on to a new area. But I know they will be back, and so will I. Lot of fun hanging out with a buddy of mine talking and driving around looking for them though.
The area was over run with them about 2 months ago.
