well I didn't even hear a bird I could only sit 'till 9:30 though. I am going out tomorrrow, i just have to figure out where I did have a doe and yearling come in around 7:00 and hang out between 30 and 50yds for over an hour. They were not sure about the blind and were just hanging around acting curious. At 9am I had 2 mature does come in as well. Man. if it were deer season i would have at least 2 of the 4 deer in the freezer Is it november yet?

Dutchess County, NY - Opening Day At 0900 - I hit a new property I got access to this year. After walking in about 75 yards, I hear 2 close gobbles, one to the right, one to the left...I set up on a grass trail, pop up the blind, but B-Mobile out at 6 yards with a Renzo decoy hen. I jump into the blind and scramble to get set. NO more gobbles...now I am bummed, as I fear they heard me set the hubs on the blind....I call with the Primos Freak.....nothing......bummer....then a rip roaring gobble to my left - MUCH closer this time! I get the Switchback up and ready - I am hunting with my Carter Evolution PLUS release....this has to be perfect..... More gobbles.....then I hear him spitting and drumming.....I can't see him.... Then I hear him high setpping through the dry grass.....like an elephant! He makes a BEE LINE for Bob (B-Mobile) in full strut - running at him - he loops around, swatting him on the left....I come to full draw.....he swats at Bob again...still in full strut.....I line up Trophy Ridge Rhino sight on the head.....then drop to the wattles...full face on....7 yards......pull.....off the saftey....pull.......pull.....CLICK! Off goes 2 inches of iminent death in the metal form of a Rocket Hammerhead! I hit him square in the chest, he jumps up, and runs 10 yards into the woods, the arrow sticking out of his rear....he drops just inside the woodline...dead as dead can be! Total hunt time - 10 minutes from the truck to the recovery! It took longer to pack up the gear than to hunt! He was a BIG bird too - not sure how heavy, but certainly stout! 9 - 10 inch beard and inch spurs.....Marinated turkey breast tommorow! Thank you Trophy Ridge/Rocket Aeroheads, Vortex Optics, Mathews Solocam, H&M Bowstrings, Primos, My Family, My Freinds, and anyone I have bought gear off of here! The Hammerhead flat tore him UP!!! B-Mobile - today, performed as advertised! Awesome! 10 yards from the shot - piled up nicely! One very happy Bowhunter!
