I hadn't hunted turkeys for about 10 yrs and decided to try for one with my bow this year. Went out 3 days without much luck and on the forth day, in the morning had one get within 100 yrds and hung up on a fence. Left them alone most of the day and went back in the afternoon and set up on the other side of the woods where I thought they might have been heading, well sure enough at 4:00 pm I got an answer and shortly after 3 jakes showed up and noticed my decoys. They caught me flat footed and I tucked myself behind some cedars and was able to get off a shot at the largest of the the 3 , not much of a beard ( 4 inches) but he weighed in at 16.5 lbs. I got him with my Mathews Switchback (22yrd shot) , gold tip arrows and an allen spider expandable broadhead, I managed to double lung him and distance travelled was 15 yrds. B.T. I know the review for this broadhead was not the best, but I sharpened the heck out of the blades and thought I would try it for turkeys since I already bought them thinking they would be alright, and they worked superbly in this instance. I too wasn't impressed with the factory edge on these blades but after a good going over on the blades and trocar tip ,and I replaced the stock O rings with small dental elastics on the center of the closed blade. With good shot placement I wouldn't hesitate to use them on turkey again, deer might be another question.

Thats a great Pic! ... Thanks I agree that the Allen would be fine after a treatment like you gave them. Got to get this Pic up on the flash board
