Okay fellas here's the deal....I'm gonna hunt turkey for the first REAL time this year. I say that because I have done it before just kinda screwing around with a couple calls....but nothing really serious. Well I'm on a lease now that has a bunch of gobblers on it. So I fully plan on harvesting my first turkey with my bow. I just really don't think that I'm going to be into mounting it. I don't know why but its just not THAT great of a trophy to me ???I mean....its a BIRD ;D but it is good bowhunting practice none the less. So, instead of mounting him....I thought about doing something cool with the beard....if I'm fortunate enough to harvest one I thought about making some kind of lanyard for it so that I could hang it from my rear view mirror in my truck I know this sound weird but I love loading my truck up with do dats that involve bowhunting....I mean....I'm obsessed! GIVE ME A BREAK!!!! ;D And my truck is the only place where I can put what ever I want, where ever I want ;D My wife has restrictions in the house but my truck is mine. So, with this being said...any suggestions on how I can make a turkey beard into a cool mirror decoration

Those are very nice...especially the one's from ebay. Do you think that a taxidermist could do something like that???

You pretty much just have to cut them off(make sure to cut back far enough or you'll end up with a handful of loose whiskers. Now you can put a little salt at the base and do whatever you want with it. I have seen the spurs cut off and put on necklaces or hung from the mirror
Now I never took hunting these tupid tree chickens seriously. It's just a stupid bird right? I just figured it was "something to do". well I gave it a real chance and it is awesome. It is way more fun than I could have believed
