My results were not good. Season ended Sunday and I came up empty. I did finally get to SEE a turkey while I was in my blind on that last day though so that was pretty cool. Made the heart pump pretty good there for a while too! Can't wait for the fall season to roll around! Does everyone have a fall season and if so, I don't suppose decoys work too well? anyone?

Ok...turkey season in NY is officially closed...here's my entry.... May 2nd, 2008: After yesterdays shutout, and two days with out any sleep, I had to sleep in. I awoke around 9:30, looked outside, and saw that it was raining...YES! Grabbed the bow, and the hen decoy, and ran out to the blind that I had set up yesterday with BT. I sat down and observed my setup, pulled out the 'Lil Duece', and let it rip. 5 seconds later I hear a small cluck behind me..not a gobble, but I know a turkey is behind me..damn...all of a sudden, I see it coming around into the field...fast...full strut..20 yds....coming right for the hen. I set the pin on the wing butt, and sqeezed off.....whapp!! The turkey takes off .....noooo! But he hits the tree line, and hits the ground in the woods about 30 yds down. I can see him look around, but he's in there, and I don't have a Silver Flame..damn, what was I thinking..so I pull another Spitfire, and when I say threading a needle, I would be understating..so I let the second arrow go, and thwapp!! Right into a tree that I didn't see, but then...the turkey goes over, and the fletching goes up in the air! Yes!...man that sounded like I hit a tree trunk... So I go over and there he is...here's the pics of the whole story.. Here's my setup: View from the setup: Here's where he was on the second shot..you can see the fletch (this view is from the blind): Dead Turkey: Beard : Spur: Spur: So, with a 3/8" spur, this is the official score... 32.9375
