I'm starting to wounder what my problem is.I went out for
a short hunt yesterday and after geting in my blind started
to second guess myself if my bow was on.We twisted it up
a little when I picked up the new bow.I spent so much time
with the new one even though I shot it I wasn't going to
take a chance.I climbed back up the hill and spent well over
an hour shooting it.It is shooting good.
This Morning I had birds gobbling for 3 hours.Had a long
beard walk by my blind at around 30 yards but never even
slowed down.An hour later 3 long beards came in and I took
a shot at what I guessed 25 yards and went high getting one
small wing feather and 3 back feathers.I stepped it off and think
it was 22-23 but I still should have hit
.The last two birds
were 25 yard shots and I'm doing somthing that sends my
arrow high. The last bird I killed was over 30 yards and I hit
him in the armpits.I know the constant moving of turkeys is
very unsettling as a deer can be stoped.I spent the time to
make sure my release fitted just right.I don't think I peeked
but your mind go's blank at the moment.I know it is me 100%.
When I got home I took my arrow that I missed and shot it.
I shoot at a dot 3 feet off the ground.I placed the target down
at the level of the turkey and it hit where it should.I should
hold low but that could bite me in the butt to.I have to get
one more so I can get back to splitting fire wood, and still
be sane. ;D
