Funny lookin' hog...had this guy at 18 yards for 30 minutes. Do believe ol' Red could have made the shot. Two things to note: 1. ThermaCell running the whole time...he didn't seem to notice. 2. ASAT leafy suit...he looked in my direction several times. This is a nice light garment to wear in Florida (or early season anywhere). I do believe in this camo's effectiveness. Also saw a couple of turkeys. So, no hogs but a delightful time in the woods. Lots of time to play, shoot..don't shoot.

Aaah. One of them long legged Floridian hogs. Good to know the thermacell didn't bother him too much.

Hey Craig...I noticed that as well, he looked very healthy indeed. Nothing like sitting in a stand and watching unpressured animals. Folks that don't hunt don't get that part.

Red we seem to have the same kind of luck. Last night finally got time to go set at the bear bait station for a while and this is what I had come in. About 25 yards Getting closer As close as it can get It is great just to get out into the outdoors.

Great pics, akdd...yep, always see what ya can't shoot. Still, what a great time being in the woods and getting to see creatures that close. Thanks for sharing.
BTW: I have a cousin living in Clam Gulch. We hunted Kodiak together for Sitkas in '99. We also hunted moose around his cabin. Saw a cow, no bulls.
