Have $$$ down on it.Put a dozen arrows through it,but the only thing I know about it is it feels GOOD and I think I'll be glad it's the one I picked.I'll be starting low 42#because it's all new to me and I don't need to start any bad habits.I'll end up at 50# and shoot at 26".Any one with info on arrows and broadheads that seem to work, please let me know what you have lurned.I'll ask the pro who's setting it up,but believe you can never have enough info. You just have to put it all together and find what works best. Thanks Pete. PS can any one tell me how to get those smiley guys down I had a 9" tv when I was a kid!!! not a computer.

Congrats, and welcome to the dark side . Mathews makes outstanding products, and thier warranty can't be beat,so long as you are the original owner. They may not have all the fastest bows , but they are definatly the smoothest, and some of the quietest too,IMO anyway. They are also a snap to set up and tune, and mine seems to stay that way. Any particular reason you decided on a mustang? I'm only curious is all. Arrows....I've never shot that low a poundage, but I'm a fan of gold tip, also Blackhawk vapors are real nice without breaking the bank.I'm sure you 'll get lots more(and probably some better)suggestions here. Broadheads...Check out BT's broadhead selection guide and read the reviews on the heads he suggests for your KE#, I'd say a good coc fixed head due to your slightly lower bow weight.I'm sure BT will chime in here soon with his always awesome recomendations. Smileys??you mean these ?? Simply click on the one you want when your cursor is at the point in the message you want it to appear. Hope that helps a little, Ster

I would recommend the Goldtip XT 35/55 shafts with 100 grain points. Broadhead I would recommend would be based on what you want to do with it. There are alot to choose from but if you give me max. distances that the shots are going to be at...animal hunted...what you feel is you're number 1 priority....I can probably recommend one or two that will do the job better than average. Good idea about starting low to avoid bad habits

Thanks for the info. BT: Every one I talk to says gold tip.Must be a good reason! I hunt wtitetails,in Conn. 75-150# avg. I think most shots from a tree stand(I'll see how it is with a bow)might take some getting used to.I will practice at home! I don't know but don't think I would take a shot over 30 yds? I am color blind so have never taken chancy shots.I need a good center chest shot or I pass. It's a pain in the neck but I usually have a friend in the area if needed.Never had a deer go over 75-95 yds. This is a hard question for me to answer. It I would imagine where I put the arrow. Fast kill and lots of blood, but I hope that's what every one wants! But I think most of what happens is up to the one that pulls the trigger. Thanks Pete.

Pete....if you ever get stuck and you know that you really hammered the deer....call me. I have a great tracking dog and I would be happy to make a trip over to help you find your deer As to distance.... Your thinking straight on this and I would not suggest shooting over 30 yards at all to be honest. I would concentrate on stand location where deer are brought to you. Try and keep shots at 15 - 25 yards.

BT is very much correct on this one. The mustang will flat line them arrows between 5 and 25 yards. So if you keep it in those distances you will hammer them deer exactly where you are aiming

Thanks! I'm so into this bow it's blowing my mind!(Thats from the 60's) I started taking pictures of my first 3 shots in the morning. With my NEW GRIP that I like I am shooting an honest 1 and a half to two inch groop at 20 yds.My plan is to keep at it until I can dew it all the time! But the one shot that most interests me is that first one.All week I have been shooting in below freezing and wind.I was amazed how the wind only affected the bow moving in my hand and not the arrow flight! Gave her one turn yesterday I think I'm up to 46#! and climbing!!!!
