Well I found a recurve in my price range for a starter bow. Or should I say restarter bow. I shot one for the first 3 years I hunted back in the 70's. when I was 13. Any way it was shipped yesterday and I should have it in my hand by friday. Any way it is an older Bear Grizzly 50#'er. I know it need a string so I picked that up today I just need to oick up some shafts next week and get them fletched and I will be ready to start practicing. I will get some pictures when it arrives.

awesome! what shafts are you looking to shoot? 2016 with a 145 gr. tip. At least that is what my mentor (Arwin) told me to try. Should be a good combination.

It's here I threw the string on it and I love it. It shoots sweet! I do need to get a new rest and side plate for it and I need to find a Bear medallion for the side. Also need to pick up the proper shafts. My carbons are way to stiff. But I couldn't resist flinging a few arrows threw it. I will get the 2016's and field tips next week. and really get started shooting.

Looks like the arrow might be a bit long even after you hit full draw. But.....looks like a good bow I'll be looking forward to seeing pics of the target that is holding a group average in a couple of weeks
