I am looking for a compound bow for an 11 year old boy who isn't particularly tall in stature or strong. What would people recommend? Does anyone have one they would like to sell that would be suitable? Thanks

I personally think this is by far the best deal in a youth/starter bow. It will fit anyone from a youngster to most adults. With a simple limb change you can go from 15 to 60 pounds of draw weight. My shop pushes this bow over all starter bows including the Genisis. www.diamondarchery.com/bow_razoredge_2010.php

looks like a great bow love the adjustability ... it will grow with the shooter. One very similiar is whisper creeks version with virtually the same specs except it was 20-50#. When WC went belly up someone else picked up the youth bow and was selling 'em for around $150

Not a bad bow at all, considering you get the entire setup for $330. I found it to be a very shootable bow with an appropriately small grip. One caution with this bow is it does seem to have a fairly narrow valley.

Sorry Dude I think I might have got your hopes up prematurely.... 2 years ago I had them from whisper creek - $150 for the #10-30 and $210 for the $20-50 ... (so much for thinking they were around $150 ) I looked this morning on alpine, bear, HCA, pearson and couldn't find them ... I am pretty sure it was either alpine or HCA who started carrying them ... but they must have dropped 'em ... sorry.

My shop sells the Diamond for under $300 as a kit. ( That was the price last I noticed anyway)

Thanks all for the replies I was hoping to find something less expensive The youngster presently has a Bear Warrior and the string is badly frayed. I was thinking it might be better to replace the bow than invest more money in it but $300 is well out of the range I'll watch AT classifieds for a while and see what shows up there

I have an eleven-year-old and this will most likely be the one I get him.
