Well I have had a guy from the WE site that has been kind enough to send me one of his older re-curves. I know have in my possession and had to try shooting at last nights archery night a very nice Bear Kodiak Pony at 45#. It seems to shoot nicely and it was obvious that I will need more practice to get comfortable with it and some proper arrows. ;D I could not wait for the proper arrows so I grabbed my carbons and flung a few. ;D I would have strung it but it was recommended by Eastern that he make me a stinger as I am so new to stringing this style of bow. I will wait but Between Eastern and a long time trad shooter at the club I got to use it. Here is my baby.

I bet some 1916's or 2016's would fly real good out of that! Or you could go old style and use some cedars. Thats going to be a fun one for sure.

I LOVE bows with the forward grip! Good luck with it.
I agree with Arwin on the arrows

Like mtshooter already said now starts a new addiction!! It just something spiritual about shooting traditional gear. hard to explain but you will find out soon enough. Just wished I had the discipline to practice enough to build my confidence up enough to fling arrows at something other than a target.

A regular Renaissance going on here... I am thinking about starting up a "how to shoot trad" thread. Any interest?
By the way - nice bow!

I have been reading numerous books and trying to shoot but my consistency is much to be desired. For a few rounds I am in there then all of a sudden I am all over the board.
