Being that I work for a store that sells PSE bows, I had the chance to shoot a few of the new ones today. I shot the X-Force Dream Season EVO(62lb), X-Force Omen Pro(58lb), Bowmadness XS(62lb) and the Brute(62lb).
The Dream Season EVO was a real surprise. I have shot the previous models of the Dream Season and even though it was fast, you had a decently stout draw cycle. This one is VERY SMOOTH and easy to draw and really slings an arrow. I think it is going to be a popular bow this year.
The Omen Pro was extremely pleasant to shoot. I shot it when it first came out in 2009, set at 62lb, and I didnt think I was going to get it back and then it broke over. At this time, I dont know what they did to this model Omen, but as rough as the 2009 was to draw, I dont see how 4lb could make the difference that I felt in the 2011 Omen. It was very smooth and the draw cycle was no where near as course as it was with the 2009. I pulled it back without struggling and even shot it a few more times because I was so impressed.(This is going to be my next bow)
I have the 2009 Bowmadness XS(BM XS) and even though it isnt the fastest bow in the PSE line-up it has to be the quietest and has the least vibration of any bow I have ever shot. I was told that the 2011 BM XS is 4 fps faster, 51% quieter and still vibration free. I cant figure out how they took a bow that is almost silent and make it quieter. Well, my Rep wasnt lying. It was quieter... still scratching my head. Just like all of its predecessors, it is a great bow to shoot and I think that it will be our best seller once again.
The Brute is a great bow for the price. They sped it up this year and made it a little quieter. I like it and it has always impressed me and anyone that shoots it. If someone wants a nice bow and is on a budget, this is the one to get. I think it is in the $450-500 range, ready to shoot(biscuit, sight, peep, loop, quiver).
