Okay, blame smj (he got me started) ...this traditional archery can be an obsession. Just made a very good trade on a 1962 Bear Kodiak Magnum. 52 inches and 55 lbs. I found a great re-finisher and sent it to him for a treatment. Here are the "before pics". Once it is completed, I'll post some "after" pics. Best to all, Red

That's gonna be an awesome bow! Already is....I currently have in my possecion, a 2-tomne Kodiak Mag - 55# that I'm trying out....I'm afraid it's a bit short for me tho...The guy will let me have it for 100.00 bucks. I'd like to get hold of a Browning explorer II in 50-55#....anybody got one?

Thanks all...these old bows have sense of history and mystic you can't get from a new compound. I realize that refinishing ruins collector value, but I buy stuff to use and shoot. Should look great in the man room even if I can't shoot it worth a darn.

Thats going to be a fun one for sure, I like those old Bears. Some rattler skins would look sweet on it.
