I cant believe that nobody has anything to say regarding 3-D this year We are going to make the Rhinehart this year in Virgina (hopefully) and will be doing local shoots as well. Looks like we are going to have to start posting in this section fast ;D I have my reservations about 3-D and it's benefit as to hunting when shot as a points course but when shooting 3-D as a practice course... very worthwhile!. Who is going to get out there with us this year?.

I've been out of the competitive part of 3D for awhile now, but still meet with friends to shoot with my compound hunting set up and also to shoot my traditional gear. The theory remains the same: guess the yardage, pick a spot and make the shot.

What happened? Too much time required or just burned out?. You were on a hectic schedule there for some time!. Are you still using the Martin recurve?. That was a sweet bow

Working most Sundays now, also burnout and started racing Motorcycles didn't help. I still have the Martin but had to have the limbs replaced because of cracking. I've been shooting the Hoyt lately.

Motorcycles!?! Wow... You just never slow down do you?! ;D Good for you! I have had so many Martin bows break on me that I can almost set my watch by it. The Hoyt sounds like a better idea to me.... considering.

I've said it all along...3D is not hunting practice...it is archery practice. Anything you do to improve yourself as a shooter, benifits you as a hunter! I shot the Algonquin league course last Saturday. My first time shooting 3D in almost 2 years...Shot so well, I'm not sure I wantto shoot anymore this year because it can only get worse!!!!

We have already had a couple shoots this year and 2 this weekend! Our first 2 day shoot is at the end of May so all the little ones will help zero the specialist in :-)

Doegirl and I will be hitting one this weekend (weather permitting) and I will try and get some pics up if I can remember. I suck at remembering!. I always take the camera and then get to having so much fun that I forget about the camera

I've shot in 3d's so far this year. Came in second in the 1st one. Came in 5th in the ASA in Florida( dropped too many points the first round). I won the State Unknown 3D Championship in the BHFS category.
I tried to shoot in the State Known Distance 3D this past weekend and ended up withdrawing due to the fact that shooting in a driving downpour just plain sucks. I guess I lack the drive I use to have. LOL
