I think both bows are built well for what they are by what I have seen but with that said.... The PSE strings are top notch and as good as any winners choice I have had in the past. That saves $100+ right off the bat. There is no yoke system on the PSE and it doesn't need it due to the fact that it is built on the same old technology that allowed the BK2 to be the fastest bow in production for over 10 years. Those yoke harnesses on the Mathews is just one more thing to go wrong. When hoyt abandoned the yoke system there was a reason for it. I like the way the grip is designed on the PSE and don't have to go looking for aftermarket grips to rectify an overly large grip, as I view the Mathews to have. I also don't have to worry about being maxed out in performance due to the fact that the Omen did not involve a fixed cable guard as did the Monster. Another 15fps could be had with the PSE with the addition of a Bow Turbo....If I wanted. The Monster also didn't feel as well balanced. By comparison the PSE seems much lighter... although it isn't. It's just better balanced. Both bows are great on the shot but the Monster just seemed to have a much flatter top end to the cam...which I wasn't thrilled about.

Unlike the BK2 the Omen has an excellent back wall and eliminates creep by dislodging the shooters shoulder when any slack is given to that string The Omen will break you!! ;D ROFL. ;D I cant get past the grip. From some reason the grip on bows are the deal breaker for me. Thanks for the review I enjoyed reading it. Wait did you say wife? Holy smokes batman congrats!! ;D

I dont shoot the Omen for comfort. I shoot it because I can exceed 300fps at 50lbs. And I shoot that bow very well. I DO NOT like the draw cycle on the Omen. Who does? Its not a deal breaker for me. I will say in very cold weather this bow might give me some trouble, especially with heavy clothing. But I got my Hoyt for that.
