This series of traditional shooting techniques and instruction is the best I have ever seen. I would highly recommend all 4 and I can assure you that each one is worth the price. I have watched these DVD's over and over again and I am still picking up tips that I have overlooked during previous viewings. These are not show pieces made to enhance the standing of the participants but rather highly technical instruction form the masters that is done in a way that anyone can follow. I cant say enough good things as to the production value Via content. Check them out at 3River archery. Attachments:

A great set of videos. I recently did a clinic with Rod Jenkins and we covered exactly what he did in the MBB 3 video

Cool. I talked with Fred Eichler last month and he pointed out that P&Y average shot distance was something like 20 yards. He said (as he did in the second DVD) that this makes the stick bow a better weapon in the woods than a compound. Talk about a pep talk ;D Your a great example of someone who really proved out that you don't need wheels to kill good deer or lots of them I still have the picture of your first traditional success. When talking with Rod, he said that in Alabama, most if his shots are under 25 yards. He said dead is dead, no matter if its a shotgun, pistol, rifle, compound or stickbow. The stickbow is just lighter and easier to carry!

He is right Fred's point was that when speaking to bowhunting with the vertical bow, the traditional bow is the fastest of them all and when used by a person who is intimate with that trad bow... as accurate as any bow at normal distances.

Fast is not just measured by a chronograph! Up close, 300+ fps is just not required, and there is a lot to be said for the rhythm of shooting traditional.

Spot on!. As I showed years ago.... there is a distance of where a deer cannot escape if the arrow is true. Amazing how people believe that a deer can jump the string (successfully) at any range Everything has it's limits... It is up to the person to know those limits.

It would be nice to not be weighted down and inconvenienced by the releases and sights of a compound bow. Fred Eichler is right, 25 yds and in, trad bows have the edge over compounds. Now I'm just shooting on a daily basis and saving up for a set of hunting weight limbs.
