Thought you trad guys might get a yuk or two out of this. I shot a stick bow as a kid and then a recurve in my late teens. Took a couple of deer w/ recurve, then kinda drifted away. In about 1989, took 5 shots w/ buds compound all tricked out, had group the size of coffee cup at 25 yds, 6" off at 10 o'clock. Fast forward to last w/e. Had some outta state company, one of which had a compound and a sweet recurve. Took one shot w/ compound at 30 yds, missed the "X" by two inches. Shoulda quit there, but had to fling one from the recurve. At about 15 yds, missed the target by 3-4' and stuck the arrow in fender of my 4 whlr. lol. No, it's not a Grizzly!

;D ;D ;D My dad hunted archery deer back before I was born - with recurves of course. One of the guys he hunted with really liked to watch arrows fly... So when they were walking back from a morning out he up and lets one go. My dad thought - "Hey, aren't the cars back that way?" When they walked into the parking lot, the guys arrow was sticking up out of the middle of his own cars hood... You are only in trouble when you shoot someone else's vehicle!

Here is one for ya. Not as funny but relative.
I shot a recurve when I was a kid. I snuck my bow out of the closet when dad was asleep. I set up his target and was shooting arrows. I slung one it skipped of the top of the target flew across the yard and stuck into my dads truck hood. Wow, I was so scared. I ran over and pulled it out. Went inside and put everything away. Well it didnt work. My neighbor told on me and I got a good whoopin. But rightfully so.
