My public thanks to Steve ...primarily, because these are more than bows he was building. They represent a friend doing something exceedingly generous for another. I know he put a lot of hard work and patience into the build. It has been exceptionally fun to watch and I am sure educational for others attempting to make their own bows. For me, this build-along has really inspired me to become interested in the traditional side of archery. I know I will be pleased and proud of my Ipe bow. As he said, the Osage just didn't want to be a bow. A defect beyond a bowyer's control. It was beautiful nonetheless.
I'll post some pics of the Ipe bow when I get it. I'll experiment with the arrow choice and try and find something the bow likes. I hope to get proficient enough to try and take something with it this season. I know the challenge will be fun. Thanks again, Steve.
