Well as I type we are only 6 days away from Archery Antelope Season. Where did the summer go? When I sit back and look at what we have done this summer, we have hit 3-D's almost every weekend. We have traveled to Texas and to Wyoming a couple times and formed several long lasting friendships. I have found some strong competition in the girls in WY. They have made me a better shooter, made me practice more and most importantly step out of my "comfort zone". With 2nd place finishes in WY, and several 1st here in MT, and yesterday a shot at a 4" Rinehart Apple at 105 yards that put me 1st again, I feel I am truly on my way to an awesome season this year. The hardest thing for me at the 3-D's is to focus on the vital ring instead of the "vital" hunting shot but have finally found that happy medium! I am now proficient in judging my yardages without feeling I have to rely on my rangefinder and I am now one with my bow. The Destroyer is fine tuned and I hear the Elk calling my name

The summer is still only half over, with another half to go..the worst half IMO...I hate the heat...can't wait for fall to arrive.

Our fall starts one month from yesterday. That is our opener for deer and I'll be out there regardless of the temps thats why I have a walk in cooler.

3 weeks is the start of fall bear season Yesterday morning it was 43 degrees out. Blazin ;D Sorted through the mountain of camo in the house and have been trailing along with BT prepping stand locations. There's a rogue bear reportedly in the 400lb size that roaming around BT father's "neighborhood". He must be stopped

Summer is still here, it's the hottest we have had that I can remember, just can't wait for cooler temps and the start here (Oct.9) of the moose and deer seasons. Sounds like you have had a great year so far ( mtshooter) all the best of luck in your hunting this fall!
