Carbon Express CX200 shafts. I need to learn on how to read those. How do I measure it? I'm getting low on them and need to get a few more and stopped at the bow shop. They told me didn't have those in stock but I asked for one simpler like it, guy says u wouldn't want to be mixing arrows for a few reasons, one is different arrows shoot different, two for the kind of bow/draw/or whatever I have should stick with that. My buddy has the same kind of arrow but a different number but they look alike to me. Can anyone teach me a little more on those so I can be doing everything right.

Hey bluegilman - Here is a link to the Carbon Express sizing chart - www.carbonexpressarrows.com/pdf/cx_2007_arrow_guide.pdfThere is an 800 number at the bottom of the listing you can call for technical assistance. Also, there seem to be a lot of CX 200 offers on ebay - you might save a little with some careful shopping. What are you shooting, what does your current arrow look like? What bow? The spine of the arrow matters when selecting a shaft to use - draw weight and tip weight matter, if shooting traditional then you need to worry about flexing around the riser or shelf area, too. How you release the arrow can make a difference - just to name a few areas of concern. Hence, changing shafts can be a bit of a worry if you have a setup that shoots well. If you want to change shafts, try before you buy. Most shops have a few test arrow laying around, use them to your benefit! If look at the link above, you will see that the numbers indicate different spine, or shaft flex and also straightness. Last, here is a link to picking arrow spine for a traditional bow At a quick read, this guy seems to cover the topic well - OK - to get this to work, you need to add the last part of "Document" to the string once a new window pops up, otherwise the link will not be recognized. Specifically, you will need to add "ument" to get this link to work. I don't know why, but the last 5 chars don't seem to get included in the link... Pop up the window, add the last 5 chars to the link, and read it! He leaves off carbon arrows, but thats OK. You have the above link to help with the CX shafts... domino.htcomp.net/bhn/Columnists.nsf/d731dec9a617821886256590000646df/ca196c7c196f33ef862565a20066391f?OpenDocument Hope that helps - got any specific questions?
