Well I done went and done it now and traded some guns I did not use for one I hope to use alot. Here is my new 223 Now this is were I need your help. Did you notice that there was no scope on the gun. I am not into spending alot of money so I am looking for a used scope that still works but is ........ well cheap. Rings and plates area needed as well. So do you have an old scope that you will never use again but are willing to sell let me know. Thanks

Bushnell Dawn and Dusk Series is a very good line and easy on the wallet. If your looking for higher power for predator hunting, look into Vortex line of scopes. Don't skimp on the rings, Burris Zee rings or Millet steel rings would be the way to go

Keep tabs on the Cabelas Bargain Bin, lots of good deals that flow in and out daily. Also look here, www.swfa.com. They have a great Vortex scope for cheap, only problem is that it is on backorder and you wont see it until april/may. If you can wait, it is well worth the deal. Its a 6-24x50 for $99. swfa.com/Vortex-6-24x50-Crossfire-Rifle-Scope-P43585.aspx. Be sure to check on other brands too, like Redfield. They just hit the market again and have some GREAT scopes, for $200. Leupold is making them and if you have ever looked through a Leupold, you can guess how clear the Redfield is going to be. I will say, dont skimp on a scope. A poor scope, leads to poor accuracy. The rule of thumb I TRY to follow is, spend as much on the scope as you did the rifle. If you cant afford that, at least spend half. A cheap scope leads to sighting in problems(tracking) and also clarity at sunrise/sunset. I can say from experience that you will be more satisfied by getting a quality scope than you will by going cheap and get more years of trouble free service.

I think I might have something for you let me dig it out. I believe it is a 3x9x40 not sure of the brand it is still new in the package. I will find it by the weekend and send you some picks. I got a deal on it and will sell it for the same price i gave for it.
