I recently went thru the same thing myself. Needing a new string, and didn't know what to get. My old man bought mine, so that took care of that. Now, that being said, the next set I get will be Winner's Choice. Most of the aftermarket strings will do you right most likely, it just depends on what you're wanting them for (hunting/target) and what your price range is.

sorry, meant to reply last night ...
WC would be my first choice; if $$ is tight then I would go with stone mtn Dakota strings.
Because you are using the no-peep you won't see the lack of string rotation but it will give you peace of mind and if you use a d-loop it will always be in the correct spot + stretch will not be an issue.
there is definitely a difference between string makers and materials used. I find WC and Dakota to be a little faster than others, but also a little noisier. With everything there is a trade-off! Like you said, I have had some companies strings and had poor results so I haven't tried them twice ... so I will tell you the names of the strings I have been happy with.

If you want a string that will last three years or more with heavy use, go with a Winners Choice. On a side note, Royden..I still have that Dakota string I got from you about 3 years ago on my Fire Flight. I hardly ever shoot that bow, but it has at least 500 shots on it, and still looks great, with no peep rotation.

I've got some extremebowstrings on my Parker. I've got ... oh I don't know several hundred, maybe in the neighborhood of a thousand shot into it by now. It's a reasonable price and it looks about the same now as when I originally got it. I've only had it since Christmas so I can't really tell you much about how many YEARS it's lasted, but it's paid for itself ... in my opinion. That being said, like most things you GENERALLY get what you pay for.

I have set up at least a 100 bows with them ... I have two bows with them ... one is 5 or 6 yrs old and 5000 + shots (Haven't shot the bow in 3 but when I pull it back the peep still doesn't rotate) - the other is on it's 4th yr and still in spec a-a (have no idea number of shots but I am on my 6th dozen arrows).
